Financial Analyst Expert

Analyse published materials from central banks and regulating entities through a formal elaboration process, decomposing into structured lower level business requirements and specification suitable for R&D teams. A high degree of financial knowledge and understanding of a banks organisation are activities are necessary. Validation that resulting deliverables from R&D are built to spec and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities:

• Use strong analytical and investigative questioning skills to breakdown high level regulatory needs into a more structured document of requirements & specification
• Interact with key stakeholders including internal delivery teams who advocate our customers in banks  
• Create data specification documents to describe target data models & structures
• Define algorithms & techniques to perform risk and other complex financial calculations
• Validate output from R&D teams meets the specification provided

• High level of financial knowledge, pricing/risk calculation
• Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Masters or PhD in Mathematics/Financial degree or related field
• Mathematically minded (knowledge of financial mathematic)
• Competence and understanding of IT systems
• Experience in Back Office; compliance/regulatory reporting department
• Theoretical knowledge of security financial/risk management and financial product development
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to easily switch from one project to the other following the change of priorities
• Passionate about learning domain specific problems in quantitative investment strategy business
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
