IT Technical Support

Description

To provide IT Support and System Configuration for our Clients who are Banks and Financial Services Companies. This is a Technical Support (Not Developer) role. 

Mission

  • For critical issues identify solutions to get clients back to BAU as quickly as possible
  • Perform and document root cause analysis
  • Help to provide solutions/strategies for issue prevention
  • Follow through on solutions offered to ensure client acceptance
  • Maintain strong and positive client interactions 
  • Ability to handle multiple client issues and projects simultaneously, often against tight deadlines
  • Work hands on with the system to configure and test it to ensure that client issues can be resolved
  • Work with Development and QA Engineers to ensure the quality of the code for releases and patches
  • Please note that this is a Support (not a development) role, although a development background would be beneficial, as strong technical skills are required

Profile

Essential Skills

  • Strong structured and analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and independently
  • Ability to read and debug Java code and analyse stack traces
  • Ability to write/debug SQL statements to analyse data/resolve issues
  • Oracle skills
  • Knowledge of UNIX commands

 Ideal Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of JBoss, JMS, MQ Series
  • MS SQL Server Knowledge
  • Knowledge of trading or collateral management is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of front, back or middle office applications in the financial services industry is beneficial
