IT Technical Support
Description
To provide IT Support and System Configuration for our Clients who are Banks and Financial Services Companies. This is a Technical Support (Not Developer) role.
Mission
- For critical issues identify solutions to get clients back to BAU as quickly as possible
- Perform and document root cause analysis
- Help to provide solutions/strategies for issue prevention
- Follow through on solutions offered to ensure client acceptance
- Maintain strong and positive client interactions
- Ability to handle multiple client issues and projects simultaneously, often against tight deadlines
- Work hands on with the system to configure and test it to ensure that client issues can be resolved
- Work with Development and QA Engineers to ensure the quality of the code for releases and patches
- Please note that this is a Support (not a development) role, although a development background would be beneficial, as strong technical skills are required
Profile
Essential Skills
- Strong structured and analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and independently
- Ability to read and debug Java code and analyse stack traces
- Ability to write/debug SQL statements to analyse data/resolve issues
- Oracle skills
- Knowledge of UNIX commands
Ideal Additional Skills
- Knowledge of JBoss, JMS, MQ Series
- MS SQL Server Knowledge
- Knowledge of trading or collateral management is a huge plus
- Knowledge of front, back or middle office applications in the financial services industry is beneficial
